Planning your Visit

Visiting Bishopdown Evangelical Church in Salisbury?

If you are looking for a church in Salisbury, we would love to welcome you to Bishopdown Evangelical Church. We are a Bible-believing evangelical church meeting every Sunday at 10:30am on Bishopdown Road. This page will help you know what to expect when you visit.

Sunday Services in Salisbury

We meet every Sunday at 10:30am at our church building in the Bishopdown area of Salisbury for our main Sunday Service. If you are visiting for the first time, we recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to find parking and settle in. Our welcome team will be available to greet you and help you find your way around.

What to Expect in Our Church Service

As Christians, we gather to worship God together, pray, read the Bible, and encourage one another. During our Sunday service you can expect:

  • Singing: We sing a mix of modern and traditional songs of worship
  • Prayer: For our church, community, nation, and world
  • Bible reading: We read from the Bible each week
  • Sermon: A Bible-based talk which is also available in our Sermons section if you would like to listen again

We do not take a collection during the service, but there is a collection box available for those who wish to support the church. There is no obligation to give. On the third Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.

Accessibility

Our building is fully wheelchair accessible, and we provide a hearing loop for those who need it. Disabled toilets are available in the main entrance. If you need assistance at any point, a member of our welcome team will be happy to help.

After the Service

At the end of the service, we invite you to stay and enjoy tea, coffee, squash, and biscuits. This is an opportunity to get to know others, ask questions, and both encourage and be encouraged in our faith.  You will usually find that there are plenty of friendly faces who are happy to talk and help you feel at home.

Children and Families

Children join the service with their parents or carers at the beginning for welcome, singing, and notices. After this, we invite younger children to Sunday School.

Our Sunday School provides age-appropriate teaching and activities, including:

  • Bible stories
  • Prayer and music
  • Crafts and fun games

Other Ministries
