Planning your Visit

New to Bishopdown Evangelical Church in Salisbury?

We’re excited that you’re considering visiting Bishopdown Evangelical Church in Salisbury! Below you’ll find all the information you need about what to expect on a Sunday morning, including our location, service times, and what happens during a typical gathering.

Where and When

We meet at our church building in the Bishopdown area of Salisbury for our Sunday Service at 10:30 AM. For first-time visitors, we recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to find parking and settle in. Our friendly welcome team will greet you and assist you in finding your way around the building.

Accessibility

Our building is fully wheelchair accessible, and we provide a sound loop for those who need it. Disabled toilets are available in the main entrance. If you need assistance at any point, a member of our Welcome Team will be happy to help.

Our Gathering

As Christians, we gather to worship God together, pray, read His Word the Bible, and encourage each other. During the gathering, you can expect:

Singing: We sing old and new songs of praise
Prayer: For ourselves, our community, our country, and the world
Bible Reading: We read from the Bible.
Sermon: We listen to a sermon, which you can also find in our Sermons section if you’d like to catch up on previous messages.

We do not take a collection during the service, but a collection box is available for those who wish to support the church’s work—there’s no obligation. On the third Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord's Supper together.

And Afterwards?

At the end of the service, we invite you to stay and enjoy tea, coffee, squash, and biscuits. This is an opportunity to get to know others, ask questions, and both encourage and be encouraged in our faith.  By this time, you’ll likely have met several friendly faces who will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

What About My Kids?

Children start the service with their parents or guardians for the welcome, songs, and notices.  We believe in worshipping together as a family. After the notices, we announce when it’s time for the younger members to go to Sunday School.

Our Sunday School provides age-appropriate activities, including

  • Bible stories
  • Prayer and music
  • Crafts and fun games
